As a non-profit, we understand how hard it is to keep things moving and keep the funds high for our respective causes. So what do we do to help the circle? We attend as much as we can to help support our fellow non profits!!
Last week our Marketing Coordinator, Kimberly, signed up for the "Take Stock in Children Strides for Education 5k" benefiting the children of Tampa and Sarasota. She is getting a team together under the name "VW Purple All Stars". If you'd like to join her, the 5k walk/run is on December 8th. Click here to register.
Last night our President and CEO Monica Slater Van Buskirk attended "The Key to the Cure" at Saks Fifth Avenue benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness. It was a wonderful event with a great group of people who came together to support the cause and show their support.
Simultaneously, Michele, our Development Director, and Elsie, our Donor Relations Associate, were at the Goodwill Foundation's "Goodwill Ambassador of the Year Awards Dinner". The event recognized those who have given their time and attention to the Goodwill Foundation. It was a wonderful event.
We try to be as involved in the community as we are with our own organization. We love seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones while at these events, and we love to learn about Sarasota's outstanding philanthropic opportunities.
